Buy a Steak Instead – Don’t Use Search Engine Submission Services.

Here is a question from one of our clients.

“We had subscribed to this [other search engine] service for a while and I had frankly forgotten about. All they do is submit our site and some key words to search engines. I intend to cancel the service which runs about $30 per month. Is ther any reason not to cancel? I think I have been pissing away the $30 per month that could have bought a decent steak. Let me know if you agree and I’ll cancel them.”

The name of the submission service and the client have been changed. However, even without the name of the service, our advice would remain the same.

Submit your site once to all the major search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo, Ask.com and a few others). You do not need to waste paying recurring fees. Moreover, if your site is properly linked from our portfolio, or any other site, then you are going to be indexed automatically (and maybe even faster) than submitting your site.
