Why We Work
PaperStreet is a company that is founded on hard work and dedication to our craft. We want to help clients and make an impact on our company.
We work hard at PaperStreet, so we can then enjoy family, friends, and our other passions. Work-life balance is important and something we value here. Your work should also be rewarding. That reward can come in many different forms.
Each person will value PaperStreet’s rewards differently. To some the reward may be how you can directly contribute to the company. Your job brings a certain reward when you have a big win with a client or you want the thrill of making the impossible happen on a difficult project.
To others, the reward may be a relaxed environment and a good work life balance. The ability to work remotely and balance life with family and friends. Life is not all about work, so we all should partake in the opportunities it has to offer. You should enjoy the outdoors, travel, painting, having a side project, family, friends, or sports.
For some your reward at PaperStreet is raises, bonuses, or time off. We all want to be properly rewarded, financially. As such, PaperStreet has given yearly raises and bonuses since 2001. We also increase your amount of paid time off each year.
Finally, maybe you want to work here because we offer room to advance in a fun, stable company. We are small enough to be nimble and have your decisions impact the company directly. We’re also mature enough to know what we do well. We offer flexibility and creativity, with a laid back culture.

How We Work
PaperStreet would not be successful without you. You were selected over numbers of candidates. You are here for a reason.
Our mantra is “Work First, Play Later.” We have never been, nor will we be, a company that has much playtime during work. Sure, we relax during lunch time with games and conversations - both in person and online with our remote team. But I was raised that you always did your chores first and then you play. No exceptions. On this ideal is how I built the company from day one.
We intentionally work in this manner. We focus on clients first and foremost. Our team is responsive, efficient and flexible in creating solutions to clients projects. We are committed from the moment we are at work until the minute we leave.
Based on this work ethic, PaperStreet’s team has grown over the years yet retained the majority of our employees. Half of our company has been here over 5 years. We have made many friends along the way too and a tight-knit comradery exists. We care about everyone and helping them succeed to get the reward that they feel is important.
Yes, we all work hard, but at the same time, we have a lot of fun personalities. Our Founder, Directors, and team members all work in the same room. We regularly work together on hard projects. We are not stuffy people; we love to joke like anyone else. We like to see everyone succeed. There is no major hand holding, but “Help will always be given at Hogwarts Paperstreet to those who ask for it.”
We’re also a no-nonsense family. We inspire each other to work to our fullest capacity and expect nothing less. We push each other, but we also take the time to share a recipe, brag about our kids, give advice on music, or just talk about the latest sports trade and how that impacts the upcoming fantasy football season.
Benefits of Our Work
While we work hard, we also make room for fun things during the year. We have a big year-end team trip to South Florida to unite the local and remote team members. PaperStreet also offers awesome perks such as quarterly events, free coffee/soda, video games, 35-hour week, yearly raises, yearly bonuses, paid time off, health care plans, and IRA plans. To balance our workload and de-stress, we have Fun Fridays - a dedicated day to catch up on random items that need attention too. Not everyone can participate in each reward, but we try to offer something for everyone.
There is also the opportunity for advancement and mobility at PaperStreet. We are really focused on using each person’s strengths and interests to better our company and clients. We want you to grow and learn new things. Our Web Director started as a Jr. Developer. Our Internet Marketing Director was previously the Creative Director and before that a Developer. Our Sales Director started on the SEO team. SEO Managers have also started on development support. Bottom line: we try to find the perfect role for everyone based on their strengths and interests as it evolves over time.
We use Slack and Basecamp to work more efficiently and allow for more communication between teams. We LOVE to chat on Slack and send a few gifs during the day. We even have specific chat groups for Fantasy Football, Food, We Have Kids, Trips, Music, and more.
Overall PaperStreet is a laid-back company. We dress pretty much however we want, within limits, and we have dogs in the office too. We love to focus on speed and efficiency, which allow us to get out of work early. We don’t have to work until 9pm like some other agencies. We don’t have to work on weekends. We get our work done to its fullest potential and then enjoy life.
We also have the ability for every person to make an impact on the company or project. The contributions of our team makes allow us to be a stable, safe, dependable company that hits our goals year after year (all while having a bit of fun). We are a profitable company and have always grown revenue and the team by about 10% each year.
