Law Firm Video Marketing & Production

As we’re a comprehensive design and marketing firm, PaperStreet has professional videographers who specialize in shooting high quality and engaging videos for law firms. Our partners have years of experience with video production and will visit your firm onsite, set up everything, shoot the videos over a few hours and then edit for a finalized product over the following week or so. Next, our team will upload the videos to your YouTube or Vimeo account for maximum visibility. Once that is completed, we then embed the videos on your website so that they can be played instantly by your website visitors and promote the video on social media. We can also provide transcripts for ADA compliance and your SEO efforts.

If you’re not sure if you want to be featured in your videos, you can also check out our awesome Law Firm Explainer Videos. We offer the same process for these, as well.

Need a custom video plan? Give us a call to discuss further. We can create just about any plan to fulfill your needs. We may also have additional video options based on the length of the shoot. Even if you wish to shoot the video on your own, we can still help write the script, promote the video, and optimize its format. No matter what you need – or if you need some help with the planning – PaperStreet is here to help.

Law Firm Video Marketing

  • We Take Care of Everything – A professional videographer will visit you on site, setup everything, shoot the video and then edit for a finalized product over the following week. We will then load the videos onto YouTube or Vimeo for social sharing. Next, we embed them on your website once complete for your site’s visitors to view them immediately.
  • Be Different – 78% of all law firms have a website. What’s going to differentiate your firm and drive clicks and calls? Firm overviews can either be scripted with a professional voiceover or interview-driven to deliver a positive first impression and drive higher conversion.
  • Higher Click Thru – Lawyers.com found that if a lawyer has a video on his or her profile page, email from prospects increased by 127% and click-throughs to a firm’s contact page by 138%.
  • Higher Rankings – Having lots of fresh, relevant content that matches search terms that potential clients are looking for is key. Typically, we find a strong correlation between search rankings and websites that have videos. We have found that websites with videos have a longer time on site in analytics. Google tracks website usage and time on site is important.
  • Landing Pages – Landing pages with professional video generate 4-7x more engagement and response rates.

The Future (and Present) is Mobile, So Videos are Key

As mobile devices are now a main part of people’s lives, you can reach your target clients faster through their phones. If you make your videos easier to watch on smartphones, then you will have the power to captivate your audience.

To put it simply, someone watches it, likes it and shares it. Another person might even save or bookmark it. Either way, the video contains your details that are viewed on someone’s phone. Yes, that phone which will be used to contact you. See the connection? That’s it.

Scientists at MIT discovered that the human brain responds to images in as little as 13 milliseconds. If you’re going to captivate your target audience or prospective clients in those first few seconds, the pressure is on to make your video as interesting as possible.

With that in mind, video marketing for law firms isn’t just making an ad for your practice. The videos explain complicated laws, answer common questions, promote a current issue or simply give your potential clients a chance to view those who may be handling their sensitive legal issue. Whatever motivates you to create a video, PaperStreet is here to help you reach your target audience and put your videos high on Google’s search engine results page.

Further, here are some facts that may surprise you, but will definitely enlighten you:

  • For the past decade, businesses are shifting  to video content creation as a crucial marketing investment. 83% of today’s marketers believe that videos are now more important than ever. In fact, video generally has a 35% to 45% higher click-through rate than regular print.
  • In the same report, 87% of businesses are now using video content as a marketing tool. In short, videos are now an essential part of attracting clients online.

10 Tips for Effective Legal Marketing Videos

Now that we’ve covered the basics and importance of making video content, let’s get into a bit more detail. Here are our top ten tips for creating successful videos.

  1. Write a script relevant to your practice and study it well. Focus on the content of your message. Don’t forget to include a strong call to action.
  2. Limit the length of your videos, ideally between 15 seconds to a maximum 2 minutes, to avoid boring your audience. This is video marketing, not a lecture. You can create a video series if you want to cover more topics.
  3. Avoid discussing your educational and professional background. Your clients will get to know it once they become interested. But right now, concentrate on how you can solve their problems.
  4. Less is more – as much as you can, avoid music with lyrics or overly prominent features which may distract the viewers from understanding your message.
  5. Speak clearly. Avoid legal jargons that only you and your associates can relate to. Carefully choose positive words especially when discussing facts.
  6. Record the video in a well-lit area.
  7. Remove background noise, clutter, and distracting objects around you.
  8. Talk directly to the camera. Speak calmly and naturally as you would upon meeting your client face-to-face. This gives a personal feel to your video.
  9. Place your video recording device on a stable, non-moving holder or tripod. A blurry and shaky video will cause an amateur effect on your message.
  10. Call a videographer for a smoother, professional video production. This will enable you to focus on delivering your message well, instead of worrying how the video will turn out. You will benefit more from the better production value.

Special Video Packages and Plans for Attorneys

We offer lawyers and firms professionally-produced HD videos optimized for TV, web or mobile viewing. We also offer three standard video packages for your law firm, though custom plans are available. Give us a call today to discuss.

1. Simple Video Plan

We have a few types of simple videos. Included with the package is a one-location shoot, one interview, and two (2) round of edits. If multiple locations, interviews or questions are needed, then we simply order more videos or alter the pricing.

  • Profile: A profile video showcases your firm in a personal way. It is unscripted, authentic interviews of you or your key employees. The shots are natural and engaging. An example is on our own home page of our website – or located here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQPwGhcovN4.
  • Scripted Video:A scripted video is just like the name implies. These are professional, written scripts and recorded voice-overs. Typically, these style shoots are used more for businesses than law firms.
  • Frequently Asked Questions:These are short one or two question and answer videos that are about 30 seconds each.

2. Showcase & FAQ Video Plan

This is a simple video shoot. It contains a 60-second spotlight video and 25 FAQ videos to answer clients’ questions.

  • Showcase Video: A spotlight video is a short, 60-second online video explaining your company’s product or service. The video typically includes interviews and office shots of the firm. We help craft the questions to showcase your firm. Alternatively, the firm can provide a script for us to follow or we can write one for an additional cost.
  • FAQ Videos: These are 25 videos, each on a single question of law with logo and question banner. The videos are traditionally 30 seconds to 1 minute long each.
  • Transcription: We transcribe all videos for search optimization.
  • Upload: We upload all videos to your YouTube or Vimeo account on a regular schedule. If you are signed up for an Internet Marketing campaign with PaperStreet, your videos will include an optimized title, description and tags. If we do not represent you for Internet Marketing, we will simply upload all your videos to your YouTube profile without any further optimization.
  • Website Embedding: We will embed videos and any corresponding transcription into the appropriate page of your website (creation of video gallery or custom video page is additional). Available areas are attorney practice pages, FAQs, Resources or a Video Gallery.
  • Location: We will send a videographer to your office for a half-day shoot. We also cover team meetings via web conferences.
  • Editing: One (1) round of edits are included per video (additional rounds extra).
  • Mobile Friendly: Our videos will display properly on mobile and tablet devices.
  • Ownership: Your law firm owns the videos and all content.

3. Video Content Marketing Plan

This is similar to the Showcase plan, but it is a more in-depth business or lawyer video marketing plan where we post new videos monthly to create an ongoing marketing video subscription.

  • Strategy: During our three strategy sessions, we help identify the three most common issues clients have. We draft scripts to showcase the issues and propose a resolution.
  • Solution Video: We help write scripts for three separate 60-second long solution videos on the client issues we discovered during the strategy session.
  • FAQ Videos: We provide 12 videos, each on a single question of law with a logo and question banner. Videos are traditionally 30 seconds to 1 minute long each. They will closely follow the 12 blog posts.
  • Whitepaper: We create three whitepapers on the specific issues your clients encounter.
  • Infographics: We create three additional infographics regarding the three specific issues.
  • Podcasts: We can create a Podcast to download about the video, synced with the solution videos.
  • Blogs: We draft 12 blog posts on three core issues. Each blog post is about 500 words and posted once per week for 12 weeks corresponding with the issues from the strategy session.
  • Social: We post all content created to your social media accounts.
  • Transcription: We will transcribe all videos for search optimization.
Available areas are practice pages, FAQs, Resources or a Video Gallery.
  • Location: We will send a videographer to your office for a half-day shoot. We are also available to cover team meetings via web conferences.
  • Editing: One (1) round of edits are included per video (additional rounds extra).
  • Mobile Friendly: Your videos will display properly on mobile and tablet devices.
  • Ownership: Your law firm or business owns the videos and all content.
