PPC vs. Search: For every 1 click on a paid search result, the organic results generate 8.5 clicks. SEO is important – http://tiny.cc/0k7X7

Organic Visibility: 100% for first three spots on down to 20% for spot 10. Keep above spot 5 and you viewed. http://tiny.cc/i3BSW

PPC Visibility: 50/40/30% for first three spots and dropping to 10% quickly. Be on the top or you are not seen. http://tiny.cc/i3BSW

Pretty good numbers to support that SEO is important, but that PPC is also worthy of a look (so long as you are in the top slots).
