As another year draws to a close, holiday cheer begins to bubble over. Accordingly, we’ve created this list of our holiday favorites and traditions in order for you to get to know us better and perhaps be inspired to start some new traditions with your loved ones.

My favorite thing about the holidays is putting up lights on the house.  I am not like Clark Griswold, but it’s still fun to see the house lit up. – Pete, General Guru & CEO

Having danced for many years, going to see The Nutcracker was one of my favorite traditions. My daughter started dance class this summer, and this will be her first time seeing the performance. – Nancy, Client Relations Manager

My family and I have developed a tradition called the “Good Times” box. During the year, everytime we have a memorable moment, we write it down and put it in a little box. At the end of the year we open it up and reminisce together about all the good things the year has given us. It’s a nice way to end the year! – Jen, Graphic Designer

We really look forward to the Christmas season especially making cherished memories with our kids. We have many traditions of Elf on the Shelf, gingerbread houses, special Christmas Crafts (i.e. annual canvas with their handprint), donating a toy to a children’s charity, and baking cookies. My husband and I take them on an annual holiday event with lots of holiday cheer, lights and festivities, but ensure Santa will be there of course. We do a holiday ski trip and see as much family as possible. I love Christmas music and my favorite Christmas group is Pentatonix. – Autumn, Web Content Manager

I look forward to spending time with my family in New York. My favorite tradition is baking loads of cookies and pies with my brothers and cousins. And enjoying the snow if we’re lucky, usually we snowtube at least once while visiting. –  Ashley F., SEO Content Associate

My favorite thing about the holidays is eggnog. I will drink a year’s worth of eggnog within the span of a month as if I need it to survive. I also enjoy decorating gingerbread cookies with my family. – Clinton, SEO Link Building Associate

Last year the 4 of us (me, my hubby, and 2 kids) spent a week in Blue Ridge, GA over the Christmas break. We loved it so much, we went back 2 more times during this year. We’re going back for 2 weeks again this year because we absolutely love the town. Staying in a cabin for Christmas is probably going to be our new holiday tradition! – Kat, PPC Associate

My favorite thing about the holidays is all the festive décor and Christmas lights. Decorating the house and putting up a tree while listening to Christmas music is something I look forward to every year. I also really love taking walks at night with my family to see all the lights in the neighborhood. – Ashley, Link Building Manager

The Christmas season is monumental in our family. Our son was born on Christmas Day – the absolute best, most expensive gift we’ve ever received – so it’s generally gifts in abundance. Our family is spread throughout the US and England so it’s a time we all collectively gather, when the world allows it. I personally love listening to classic Christmas tunes from the US and England, baking Christmas cookies with the family, watching Christmas Vacation every Christmas Eve, and making Christmas dinner for us all. – Alex, VP & Internet Marketing Director

Now that I have young children, celebrating Hanukkah has become especially joyful. Seeing their excitement as they get to open a new gift on each night, playing with the dreidel and singing holiday songs is absolutely priceless. Our newest tradition, one which I very much wanted as a child, is having a white “Hanukkah tree” that we get to decorate with blue and white lights, Hanukkah ornaments and hand-crafted ones too! – Elyssa, Creative Director

I LOVE the “holiYAYs” and all the traditions that come along with it, so it’s hard to narrow it down to a “favorite”. But if I had to pick some highlights: going to New York to spend it with my family, watching “A Christmas Story” & other classic holiday movies, baking cookies, decorating the tree jamming out to Christmas tunes & looking at everyone’s lights. – Chelsea, Social Media & Design Specialist

This holiday season I’m looking forward to spending time with family and starting traditions with our newborn child. I really enjoy this time of year because it feels like everyone is in a more cheerful and relaxed mood. I look forward to Thanksgiving dinner and all the delicious food (especially the sides!). Lastly, I love watching Home Alone 1 & 2 countless times during Christmas. – David, Technical SEO Manager

Around the holidays, my fiancée and I typically travel to enjoy the winter season and to see family outside of Florida. My favorite part of this is wearing all of my nice winter coats that would be far too warm for south Florida. I also love listening to all the really old/classic Christmas songs that play around town in December. – Rob, Junior Web Developer

It’s amazing how quickly Christmas comes around every year. It’s also my birthday month, so it’s my favorite time of the year! My favorite part of the holidays is seeing my son’s face on Christmas morning. There’s truly nothing like it! – Stephanie, Designer

I look forward to Thanksgiving every year. It’s the one holiday my entire family gets together for since we live in different states.  While we are all together, we always celebrate Hanukkah in November.  We have a new generation of grandchildren which makes celebrating Hanukkah together even more fun! – Liz, Bookkeeper

For the holidays, we typically stay local and just have dinner with family. As a DJ, holidays are a busy time for parties and events. – Chris, Lead Support Developer

The holiday season is always a fun time to spend time with my friends and family back home. Secretly, I mostly look forward to the holiday feasts! – Andrew D, Web Developer

When I was a kid, my grandfather used to give all the grandkids their Christmas presents wrapped in the Sunday comics and stuffed into brown paper bags. After my sister had kids, I brought back this gift-giving tradition for my niece and nephews, with my own twist of drawing holiday-themed cartoons on the bags themselves. I’ve been doing this for around two decades now, and my sister still has all the bags from past years. – Drew, Digital Advertising Manager
