Environmental Law Content Writer – Freelance, Part-Time (Remote)

Seeking an Experienced Attorney / Writer with Deep Knowledge of Environmental Law

Are you an attorney who’s passionate about environmental law and prefers writing over billable hours? Do you want to share your insight on the latest legal developments—on your own schedule, from anywhere? We have a role for you.

PaperStreet is seeking an experienced attorney-writer who is well-versed in the evolving and complex world of environmental law. We’re looking for someone who not only understands the law but lives and breathes it—someone who can translate complicated legal concepts into informative, engaging blog posts and web pages for both legal and lay audiences.

You should have hands-on experience with environmental compliance and regulation, including topics such as CERCLA, CEQA/NEPA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and related statutes. Familiarity with sustainability reporting, environmental litigation, rulemaking, and how environmental issues impact contract negotiations is a must. The ideal candidate will be comfortable weighing in on current events and sharing thoughtful, educated opinions that reflect a close connection to this field.

Guidelines & Time Commitment

Part-time: We will agree on a certain amount of words that need written each month.
Remote: Work from anywhere (no need to be onsite).
Flexibility: Work whenever you want as long as you hit our deadlines.

Position Requirements

Expert-level knowledge in the area of environmental law*
Juris Doctorate degree*
Excellent written, copy editing and proofreading skills
Willingness to use Google Docs and Basecamp (we’ll train you – it’s easy!)
Ability to meet deadlines
Understanding of basic SEO best practices
Interest in long-term, steady work
