Christy is a long-time member of PaperStreet's writing team and a professional full-time content writer with more than seven years of online writing experience. Christy is experienced in search engine optimization, blog writing, web content, white papers, and infographics. In addition to writing for the web, she also has written legal textbooks and served as a subject matter expert for the creation of classes in paralegal studies and criminal justice.
Christy earned her undergraduate degree in English, Media and Communications from the University of Rochester and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law. She was a recipient of three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, which are given to the highest scoring student in each law school class. She served as a research assistant as well as a summer associate for a Los Angeles firm and she taught English and Paralegal studies at a local college before deciding to focus on writing full time.
Christy splits her time between Pennsylvania and Florida and enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs when she is not writing.

Dave spent 16 years as a commercial litigation attorney and was a partner at a prominent mid-size law firm in Chicago before leaving to pursue a full-time writing career in 2009. He has written over 10,000 pages of website copy, blog posts, and other marketing collateral for lawyers across the country in almost every practice area imaginable. Dave also writes content for doctors, accountants, and other professionals.
A graduate of UCLA who earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law, Dave also served as Deputy Director of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism from 2011-2013. He is certified on the master list of federal administrative law judges, is a passionate Chicago Cubs fan, and once had the good fortune to appear on and win an episode of Jeopardy!
Kristin is a licensed attorney who earned her B.A. from University of Florida and her J.D. from University of Miami School of Law. Her Florida practice mainly handled immigration and criminal defense cases.
Kristin writes a wide range of content for PaperStreet on diverse legal topics, including mergers, corporate criminal investigations, criminal defense, immigration, civil litigation, intellectual property, business and consumer rights.
Currently, Kristin sits on the Manhattan Community Board, which represents the district's interests on such matters as development, city planning, land use, zoning, traffic, education, parks and social services. In addition, she works with her local CSA to deliver organic produce from Hudson Valley farmers to lower Manhattan residents and volunteers for her neighborhood garden to maintain public open green space for all New Yorkers.

Jeff is an attorney who has transactional and litigation experience in small firm practice and as a solo practitioner. He also has several years' experience as in-house counsel for a large, publicly-traded global company. Jeff's practice experience ranges from litigating administrative enforcement matters for health clubs to negotiating multi-million dollar lease agreements, service contracts and software licenses. As a writer, Jeff has published several scholarly and commercial articles under his own name, and has written content for firms in virtually all practice areas across the vast majority of U.S. jurisdictions. He has some international practice and writing experience as well.
Aretha is an attorney who started in Indian Law but now focuses on Intellectual Property, Blockchain, and Transactional matters. She counsels start-ups and entrepreneurs in regulatory matters, including cryptocurrency compliance with money services and securities offerings, and international compliance. As a freelance writer, her works have appeared on a number of legal blogs, publications, and online magazines. In addition to her law practice and writing, Aretha is an amateur UX designer, programmer, and photographer.
Hannah kicked off her writing career with adventure stories for her little sisters, painstakingly printed in crayon, and has since moved on to type-written work for PaperStreet. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Honors College, Hannah has done a bit of everything in the writing business—fiction, fact-checking, copy-editing, and blogging. She lives in Pittsburgh but tries to spend her winters in Los Angeles with her family. When she's not writing or traveling, Hannah loves to knit, bake, and do Insanity programs to counteract the sweets she makes.
Laurnie began her professional writing career three years ago with an internship for the Food and Nightlife editors of Baltimore Magazine. Ever interested in food, she then began as Content Creator for an online candy website, dabbling in online journalism and blogging while finishing her Creative Writing and History degree at Carnegie Mellon University. When she's not writing for PaperStreet, Laurnie is working toward making Yoga more accessible to everyone in the Pittsburgh community.
Leigh is an experienced litigator and legal writer who has practiced law for thirteen years. She is licensed in both Kentucky and Tennessee. She attended Eckerd College, where she received the James Michener Writing Scholarship, before transferring to the University of Memphis, where she earned her B.A. in English in 1996. Additionally, she earned her J.D. from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2005. While in law school, she sat on the Moot Court Executive Board and competed as a semi-finalist in the Pace National Environmental Moot Court Competition, receiving two Best Oralist awards.
Leigh’s years of practice have touched many areas. She served as a delinquent tax attorney for Shelby County, Tennessee. She worked as a default services attorney, representing many of the nation’s largest banks and lenders as creditor counsel in bankruptcy. Leigh handled civil trials and appeals at both the state and federal level. In her work as a litigator, she secured several multi-million dollar judgments for her clients. Most recently, she has several years of experience as in-house counsel for a major tax compliance company.
Leigh founded and developed a local legal multi-media marketing company, writing all web content, legal blogs, and attorney biographies. She also worked previously as a content writer for various internet marketing outlets.
Leigh enjoys time with her family, hiking with her golden retriever, and selling antiques when she is not working.
Tarun is licensed to practice law in California. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tufts University in 2010, and received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2013. During law school, he was a member of the Penn Biotech Group, a cross-disciplinary consulting group for pharmaceutical development. He also volunteered for the Guild Food Stamp Clinic, providing legal assistance to those without the means to afford such representation.
After law school graduation, Tarun gained both litigation and transactional experience, having worked for a small, full-service law firm and in-house for a fin-tech startup. He has since transitioned to writing full-time, and has more than three years of online content writing experience, covering a range of topics and practice areas for legal and non-legal clients.
When he’s not writing, Tarun enjoys illustration, urban exploration, and hiking.
