You really only need to be submitted to Google, MSN, Yahoo, and Ask.com and a few other major search engines. That is it. Services that resubmit your site on a monthly basis are basically a waste of money.
Moreover, your web site designer should do it for you. If they don’t you can do it manually or find a free service that submits your site to all major search engines.
Once you are submitted to the major search engines once, the search engines regularly revist your site and see if new content is posted.
