Legal Content Editor and Search Marketing Associate

PaperStreet is seeking a dedicated legal content editor and search marketing associate. We want someone who is eager and willing to:

  • Edit content, manage a small staff of freelance writers, and oversee quality control for multiple legal websites; and
  • Learn new techniques and methodology in SEO (search engine optimization) and Social Media.

Legal Content Editor
As a legal editor, you will oversee various content projects for legal websites, as well as the freelance writers who create this content. Your duties include:

  • Being the primary point of client contact for projects;
  • Editing written content;
  • Assigning projects and assuring they stay on time and budget;
  • Addressing quality control issues and organization of content; and
  • Creating project quotes and estimates for new clients.

Projects range from weekly blog posts of legal issues, to the attorney bios and practice area content for law firm websites, to in-depth articles for publication.  Prior editing experience is required.

Search Marketing Associate
As a search marketing associate, you will collaborate with the research, implementation, modifications and execution of client SEO campaigns. You will assist in creating social media campaigns on FaceBook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You will post regularly to various accounts and monitor activity.  The best news, we will train you on all techniques!  No experience required, just the ability to learn and advance.

About You
We are looking for someone who is fun to work with; passionate about the web and internet marketing; wants to learn; will follow directions and execute their duties independently. The position is full-time.  Prior editing experience is required.  Experience editing or writing content on legal issues is preferred.  No experience is needed for the SEO portion of position; we are willing to train. Of course, prior experience with SEO is a plus.

Required Duties & Skills

  • Attention to detail – Prior editing experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge or understanding of search engine optimization and social media.
  • Ability to accept and respond to feedback.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Applicants with experience writing/editing legal content will be given preference.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with clients and manage freelancers.
  • File and organize information.
