General Email and Web Mail Account Instructions
Congratulations. Your email is now
hosted by PaperStreet. We use the award winning
SmarterMail to host your email. The mail system
can be checked online via web mail or from
any standard email computer program. In addition
to webmail and email, the program is equipped
with spam filters, antivirus filters and tons
of extra features.
You can login to your webmail and edit your
account settings at any time via:
http://mail.your-domain-name.com (please enter
your domain name)
- or -
http://www.paperstreetmail.com
Your administrative for the email account is:
User:
Pass:
To add more accounts, simply login online with
your administrative account. Under the "Settings" button
you can select "Email Accounts." You
can then "Add User" for each email
account you need for your web site. When adding
a user, simply type in the email address you
want, without @your-domain-name.com. You can
enter their own password as well and setup additional
options.
Again, you should be able to check and send
your email via http://mail.your-domain-name.com,
via http://www.paperstreetmail.com, or via any
standard email program.
The login settings for both webmail and any
email program are:
Username: Your full email address (i.e. info@your-domain-name.com)
Password: Whatever you assign it via the webmail
panel.
When you add your account in your email program,
the only additional settings are:
POP3: mail.your-domain-name.com (please enter
your domain name)
SMTP: mail.your-domain-name.com (please enter
your domain name)
Finally, you must check the box that says SMTP
server requires authentication. When setting
up an account in Outlook this is typically under
the More Settings button and under the "Outgoing
Server" tab. Simply check "My outgoing
server (SMTP) requires authentication." In
Outlook Express this is typically under the "Servers" tab
and is near the bottom. It says "My server
requires authentication." Simply check the
box and you are complete.
We of course can assist in setting up your
email accounts as well, but please try these
directions first.
