Firm: Lakelaw, a Chicago bankruptcy law firm with nine attorneys.

Challenge: Lakelaw had an existing website that had grown cluttered as the firm attempted to "add on" dozens of features. They wanted to expand SEO and Internet marketing efforts, as well as have a mobile site.

Challenge: The firm needed a complete website redesign and rebranding - and was wary of the process after being twice burned by other web design firms. The existing site and content materials were unorganized. It did not want clichéd legal images.

Firm: Stearns Weaver Miller, a full-service Miami law firm with 100+ attorneys.

Challenge: Stearns Weaver Miller needed a custom site from scratch. The firm had no existing branding materials and no logo. Each aspect of the design had to be vetted and approved by three separate stakeholder groups with varied priorities and preferences (Marketing, Tech Committee and Senior Partners).

Lesson Learned: Sometimes the larger the firm, the more simple the design should be. Clean, streamlined designs last. The site is now three years old, yet doesn't show it. (Most lawyer websites need a redesign every three years.)
